Synthetic fiber, knitted fabric (double-knit polyester?), machine-hemmed on all four edges. Yellow tassels tied along all four edges, creating a very long fringe (about 30 cm). This dance shawl was presented to the donor in 1982 at a Wichita powwow in Anadarko, Oklahoma. Ms. Margaret Bell, President of the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, presented the shawl on behalf of the Wichita Tribe. Ms. Bell indicated that the design had been sewn onto the shawl by a "non-Indian" known to her as Mrs. Vinyard, and the fringe was added by someone else.
