<dcterms:description><![CDATA[Interlaced cotton band sewn together to form a loop. At junction there is a long (35mm) multi-strand tassel. On either side of the tassel there are 4 dangles, each made of beads, seeds, deer hoof tip and 1 red/orange feather (tapiragem?) Dr. Newton says this was obtained from Ngotum Ngoti Cristin, a 25 y/o male. It was made by Zezin, a 45 y/o male, and/or Jardelina, a 45 y/o female from same house, parents of Panbu a 20 y/o female and wife of Ngotum. Dr. Newton says that Ngotum told her this was for something called "Pemp". Jardelina told her that these were used for males and worn in pairs, but this is a single object. The armband is called me?pakrachi, pempakrachi. The pendant is called ambrich. The band is 2z cotton, verticle interloping, knit using 4 sticks. Pendants are rubber/plastic tubular beads, glass beads, scleria/aku seeds, deer hoofs and macaw feathers. Tassel attached with 2z2s and 2z cotton strands, also used for pendant bead cord. Price paid: 4 crn. Associated specimens: see technique specimen field number 1968-89.]]></dcterms:description>
