Pink fabric interior. The interior of the lid has needles, hooks, handles, and other sewing and needlework tools held by leather loops. Inside box is a quilting tool used for marking fabric and an empty wooden spool for thread. The inside back of the case holds a mirror that can slide out for use - mirror is broken. Originally two black leather handles on each side of box, but one has broken off. Found inside work box are two notes: handwritten is "This work box was given to [unreadable] by Baba during their engagement" anda typed note reading "#1371a Work box ca 1850 Donated by Catherine H. Moore."
