              <text>Leo Theodore Heid (4/21/1887-3/3/1958) was born in Rockport Indiana to Louis J. and Amelia M. Heid. Following his graduation from Central High School in 1904, Heid was employed as a shipping clerk for Cussins &amp;amp; Fearns Company. He then became a traveling salesman for the Monarch Specialty Manufacturing Company (washing machines). Later he worked for the American Tobacco Works of New York, the Monopol Tobacco Works of New York, and the Imperial Knitting Company. He married Gertrude Sauer on 6/14/1911. This article has his birth year as 1884, his World War I Draft Registration card list it as 1887.</text>
