BEVERLY HILLS, Cal., Oct. 17.— Jut passed by one of our fine country clubs out here and there was a big crowd there. It was the woman's golf championship of America. We used to think going to see women play golf would be like going to see men crochet. But, say, there is nothing effeminate about this golf thing as played by these champion women. Say, what a bunch of channel swimmers they are. I would hate to beat one of them to parking space. They just lay that innocent little ball down, grit their teeth and swing like a woodchopper, and it takes one of our modern men in mighty good physical condition to even walk where it goes, too. Miniature golf might be all right for men, but not for this humorously called weaker sex. Yours, WILL.</text>
