<text>176 February 25 - Sunday - 9:00 P.M. My dearest darling: Helen has been here for the past hour talking, and has just now gone home. Walter is standing watch tonight. No mail from you today - and I don't get much done except some knitting and the hated ironing. This afternoon we went to tea at Agnes’ - I met a number of people and enjoyed listening to the latest gossip. CASA came in for a share of criticism. I said nothing, but was interested to learn that although no one knew any specific person in the group they were pretty much disgusted at seeing the men loaf around town here and in Monterey. On our way home we passed the Whites window shopping - I didn't go up to say hello because they looked engrossed - hope they didn't see me. [pg 2] It's been cold the past two days, and I haven't enjoyed getting up in the morning at all. Wendy is always icy and damp, but in the best of spirits. Tonight I reread some of your letters. I do miss you so very much darling, and keep wishing there was some way for you to get home to us. That's just about all I keep thinking of all day long - and always before I open a letter from you, I wonder if ‘this one’ isn't the one to bring me the news I want most of all to have. I hope that soon you will be able to say ‘Top of the Morning’ and you can't just imagine how fast Wendy and I will get there - It will be so wonderful to be in your arms again - Hold me tight to you til then my darling - I love you with all my heart- Bobby</text>
