"Dear Mary I am out on a winter job again logging in a saw mill camp this time I plowed up on the homestead Sept. 16 don't know how I will come out on it I had lots of residence building fencing ditches and all improvements but only had 17 acres plowed I got 3000 lbs of oats to feed horses and 1800 rye and wheat to plant and a big bill of grub to do the work on and then the ground was too dry when I started to plow and so there was lots of wild raspberries a mile from my house and I got some of the neighbors to come and we just had lots of fun and got some berries I only had 5 jars and a dozen jelly glasses I got them full and a 1/2 gal of jam I brought 2 jars to send to you if you like them then come and help me pick next summer I would like to play with the kids a little on the side so goodbye from Ralph L H &amp;amp; Moore Yampa Colo.". b.
