    <dcterms:description><![CDATA[Portland Visited By State Co-Eds; College girls Take Annual Field Trip For Study.; PORTLAND VISITED BY STATE CO-EDS College Girls Take Annual Field Trip for Study Thirty-seven Oregon State college co-eds, all majoring in home economics have made Portland their headquarters for the past three days, the occasion being the annual field trip of the department. Two instructors accompanied the girls. On Thursday they were guests of the Troy laundry. Their visit made the 14th year that seniors of the home economics department of the state college have been guests of the Troy laundry. Other Portland visits of inspection included a dairy, woolen mill, knitting mill, hospital, department store, baby home, bakery and public market. Girls Luncheon Guests The instructors, Miss Margaret Fincke and Miss Gertrude Strickland, and the girls were guests at luncheon at the Troy dining room Thursday noon. Later they attended a demonstration of Dri-Cess, a new method for making washable fabrics water-repellent and stain- resistant Percy Allen, president of Troy laundry and E. B. Barker, manager, explained the method. At conclusion the visitors were taken through the plant and saw work in operation.]]></dcterms:description>
