A gold chinstrap, attached at each end with a brass button, sits above the bill. A metal Navy officer's crest is affixed to the front of the cap, now beginning to tarnish. Sweat band is made of dark brown perforated leather with a black plastic backing for support. A white plastic band encircles the inside of the crown for support.
