Most of the leather has faded to a deep brown. There are side flaps to give ears added protection from engine noise, and could be unsnapped to allow flyer to hear. On back is a loop for the goggles strap. Two soft brown metal snaps are located at the chin, one on each ear flap and one on each side of the helmet interior.
