Metier a faire des Bas [Stocking frame]. Rojau del. Benard Fecit. Pl. V. Engraving, [ca1800?]. Image of some parts of a stocking frame. Probably from some edition of Diderot's "Encyclopedie Ou Dictionnaire Raisonne Des Sciences, Des Arts Et Des Metiers," first published in volumes between 1751 and 1772. Image virtually identical to 0000.207.48 except for the placement of the small implements in the upper left corner. 50 x 42 cm. Copy A.
