Description

COLOPHON: "Handmade paper, shifu, & poem by Aimee Lee"
Title supplied by artist.
One-of-a-kind knitted book made from purling handmade paper mulberry paper (Thai kozo) into eight panels which are sewn together in an accordion structure with the same paper. Contains a typed poem (sestina) on handmade paper (abaca half stuff) and red thread. Reference to "shifu" on the back label is an error. The paper was made and turned into yarn during a residency at Ox-Bow in Saugatuck, Michigan. The knitted book was made during a residency at Ant Farm in Marquette, Nebraska.
