This is a lively discussion of intolerable conditions in France, many of which can be attributed to the evil influence of the King’s favorite, Concini. The discussion is presented in letters between Pierre du Coignet (in the form of a statue situated in Notre Dame alluding to a person who lived in the 1320’s) and the Crocheteur de Pont Neuf. The letter of the Jews of Constantinople (pp. 14-15) is of great interest, referring to the banishment of the Jews by the King and entreating the exiles to not forget their religion or language.
