Description
Women's dance costume for "Deirdre of the Sorrows", which premiered as a solo July 19, 1948, in Colorado. It is a white synthetic stretch knit dress with gold edging, a wide shirred waist, pleated full-length skirt, and zippered sleeve cuffs. The label in the back collar reads "Julie Boutell, inc. couturiere / MINNEAPOLIS". Worn by Gertrude Lippincott of Minnesota. Lippincott was a prominent dancer, choreographer and teacher.
