Description

White crocheted coverlet. Wide panel design with predominant color in red. Other panels, two each, in green, white and black. Multicolored, cross-stitch, floral pattern covers white and black panels. Crocheted border in peach and black. Made by donor's grandmother, Mrs. Henry M. Rice, wife of Minnesota territorial legislator State senator (Henry Rice was also fur trader, Sibley's partner, and sutler at Fort Snelling.) Circa 1890.
