Description on reverse: "Here are some of the products being turned out at the handicraft room of the WPA in Key West. At this permanent display table are shown beach hats of palm fronds, knitting bags of coconut fibre, beach sandles of fibre and rope, card cases of coconut fibre, luncheon sets of scrub-palm fronds, and many other equally novel articles." Stetson Kennedy (1916-2011), writer and civil rights activist, collected these photographs during the course of his career fighting for equality throughout the Southern United States.
