Ink outline drawing of roses and Chi Rho symbol on cope hood. Has penciled-in numbers indicating color of thread to be used. Rose designs for this entire set are clearly influenced by the 1899-1900 volume of Needle and Hook: Instructions in Silk Embroidery and Silk Crocheting by Belding Bros. & Co., plates XLVII, LI, and LII. (Catalog held by Haehn Museum.) Sisters also spent hours in the garden observing and sketching roses to make shading as life-like as possible.
