Photograph of a shirtless soldier holding a rifle and standing in front of a building. A handwritten note on the back of the photo says "This is Russell Stanley. The headnet on the helmet has to be made by hand. You should see me crochet. That's a Carbine, cal. 30, gas operated, air cooled, 15 shot weapon he's holding- replaces the pistol as an infantry weapon."
