Orange with yellow disk at center, red band around perimeter, four parallel lines across center. Feather and hoof pendants at each side, horsehair pendant wrapped in red stroud cloth down center. Two horsehair pendants and knitted yarn strap at back. Outside. See 229858 for another model of this shield. 20" (51 cm). Records: The red paint is the mineral red. The central yellow disk typifies the sun, with four parallel rays on either side. The mist red-and-yellow body color is the auroral dawn. The eagle wing feather, fawn hoof, and bead strings on the right signify the eagle and its food, the fawn and the snake. The hair pendant represents a turkey beard. Central pendant is a horse tail.
