Photograph of USC Yell leaders, 1957. Formal group photograph of the USC Yell leaders squad with megaphones at their feet. " Yell leaders 1915" -- written on verso. "22. Young Barkers -- Uniforms of USC yell leaders have changed many times through the years. These young men wore knit caps, SC-lettered sweaters, white pants and shoes in 1917. Their only "sound amplifying equipment" came with the megaphones at their feet" -- typed note attached to verso.
