Most of the children are smiling. A much taller adolescent is partially visible to the left wringing his hands at his throat, his feet bare. Grass is visible in the foreground. The backdrop is a wall that appears to be made of concrete. A previous record reads "It is winter and the school is out. The children are pleased to have their picture taken".
