Three young women, members of Pi Beta Phi, reading and relaxing in a room. One woman brushes her hair at a vanity while another woman seated on a bed is knitting. A woman seated on the floor is reading the January 1942 issue of THE CAROLINA MAGAZINE; next to her is the February 15, 1942 issue of the NEW YORK TIMES MAGAZINE and the December 1941 issue of TAR AN' FEATHERS. Similar photograph of same room appears in the 1942 YACKETY YACK yearbook.
