Description

This small knit helmet is a light puce color. It was made by Madame Mary Henry of Paris, France, who sent it to Charles and Anne Morrow Lindbergh for Anne around 1930. Madame Henry made a similar knit helmet for Charles as well (1933.40.442). The piece covers the head and back and sides of the neck, and it straps to the front of the neck with a flap and four buttons. Charles Lindbergh donated this helmet to the Missouri Historical Society in 1933.
