Candi CdeBaca, a political activist and elected city official, was the first in her family to attend college; she received a masterís degree in social work from the University of Denver. She describes her close-knit family and the history of activism she learned from family members as they advocated in the Swansea neighborhood at the time of the Interstate-25 expansion.
