Small infant-type doll has bisque head with glass sleep eyes, molded ears, and delicately painted hair, eyebrows, lashes, mouth and cheeks. The head rotates 360 degrees in the neck, which is set into a white muslin cloth body with celluloid hands. A hard, circular piece under the cloth on the back may have been a "cry" mechanism. Legs are straight rather than the usual bent-limb legs of a Bye-lo baby. Doll wears an original white cotton dress or slip with short sleeves that opens down the back and has lace trim at the neck. Skirt is gathered at the waist and has three small tucks above the hem, which is edged with lace. Doll also wears a light pink cotton batiste dress with longer sleeves edged in lace, a double row of lace trim at the neck and lace trim at the hem. Both sleeves have a small pink satin bow on top. A pink cotton batiste bonnet with pink satin ribbon ties has lace trim matching the dress. Doll wears a white cotton diaper that fastens in front with a pink safety pin. White tubular cotton knit stockings come to top of thighs. Pink hand-knit booties tie at the ankle with pink satin ribbon.On the back of the neck: GERMANY / O 2 1/2 B
