Contains mathematical instructions, examples, and word problems for such topics as arithmetic, weights and measures, reduction, rule of three, direct proportions, time, and motion. The volume is profusely illuminated in watercolor. Floral designs predominate, but there are also buildings, a horse, birds, and faces. As well, a knitting pattern for a large net is also included.

No cover; single section. Also laid in is an illuminated birth record for Jacob Mayer, son of Johannes Mayer and Maria Kauffman in Pertli (?) County, Virginia [perhaps Berkeley County, now in West Virginia], in 1789.
