A Note from the Contributor

Maria C. Vallejo: Crochet Doily, A Simple and Very Pretty Piece. The effect of this very well executed and simple crochet on a dark piece of furniture is one of who could have made this? As I pick it up from a table, it becomes all fluidity and softness. The hands that took the time and effort to make it happen did it lovingly. The tension and uniformity of every little square and the chain link to join the squares are admired and worth observing all it takes to make simple if not beautiful crochet.

Condition

Fair; some light staining and loose threads
