Blue blanket or shawl hand-crocheted by Mabel Massey for Amy Moir. Yarn feels like an arcylic. Blue modulates in different shades. Measures roughly 6ftx2ft. Both Mabel Massey and Amy Moir were important Broomfield community members. Mabel Massey was also involved with the Broomfield Historical Society who ran the Depot Museum for many years. Amy Moir and her husband were long-term volunteers of the Veterans Museum. Both were members of the Luthern Church of Hope in Broomfield. Mabel Massey would often knit these blanket shawls for community members, particularly if they were experiencing a stressful life moment.
