Description

Lyons, a self-confessed hobo and farm hand at Monticello, Minn., displays some of his crocheting handiwork. Lyons learned to crochet from a nurse while recovering at the naval hospital after a spinal injury at Pearl Harbor. Working on crochet helps him to quiet the tremors that hit when his hands aren't busy. He now teaches veterans how to crochet on self-conducted hospital tours.
