Description

Evening dress of black net covered with black silk applique in a floral motif. Jewel neckline; full length flared skirt. Top of bodice and long sleeves lined with closer-knit black silk net; sleeves have vents with one black covered button with loop. Center back zipper with 14 non-working matching black covered buttons; 4 working buttons above zipper. Keyhole back with one matching button and hook & eye at neckline. Bodice has interior support structure corset with boning and petersham; covered in beige silk satin. Bodice and skirt lined with beige silk organza and 4" wide crinoline encased around hem. Designer's label at left side of corset: "Pierre Balmain / Paris" Handwritten couture number tag beneath designer label: "172466"
