Second plate from a series of six depicting children’s scenes, framed within decorative rococo cartouches. The series is incomplete in this album and the third and fourth plates have been substituted with plates from other series. The scene depicts a group of girls reading, knitting, and engaging in different activities, with a teacher seated, holding a book open to one of the girls. A cabinet stands to the right and the cartouche incorporates a shelf with some books and a basket of yarn. The title is lettered below the cartouche, the plate is signed and numbered.
