Date

Description

Martha Adams ('62), Dr. Angela Baisley ('62), and Faye Strum ('62) reunite in this Zoom interview to dicuss their association with Wake Forest University. During their freshman year, these women created a friend group that has spanned over sixty years. Despite their distance, the Wake Forest friends from the Class of 1962 remain in contact regularly. In this interview, they discuss their lasting bond stemming from the close-knit community at the time among female students. Questions range from their decision to attend Wake Forest University and the impact their academic experience had on the trajectory of their lives following graduation to ones detailing the fun times and "trouble" they got into while on campus. Faye and Martha were involved in societies and recall some of the events they participated in. Dr. Baisley also recalls her involvement in the Greensboro sit-in protests during the Civil Rights Era.
