Description
Mrs. J.H. Bames of the Missouri Ladies' Auxiliary sent a letter to Mrs. Henry Milton Whelpley, Dr. Whelpley's wife. Dr. Whelpley was the dean of the St. Louis College of Pharmacy and editor of the Meyer Brothers Druggist magazine. In this letter, Mrs. Bames asked Mrs. Whelpley to be on the introduction committee of the Ladies Auxiliary. She also mentioned a knitting contest that was being sponsored by the Red Cross to support the war effort. This letter was written on Ladies Auxiliary letterhead.
