Interior of a residence

1890-1900

This interior view of a room in a residence in Leadville, Colorado, includes an elaborately ornamented cast iron stove, a sofa with pillows and crocheted blankets, floral print wallpaper and hanging framed pitures. A gilt bronze clock with engraving, scroll decorations, and a female figure with a harp sits on a shelf with a tasseled cover and white linen. In the corner, a door or window is covered with a heavy drape and has a wooden table in front. Books, a photograph of a couple dressed in their finest, and a wooden box sit on the table top. A crescent shape and a horseshoe with flowers hangs on a wall.
