150 Feb. 2 - Friday - 8:30 P.M. My dearest darling: Another mailess day - I don't think I've had mail more than four times during the past two weeks. It's hellish - hope my letters are getting through to you. The sun was out just long enough for Wendy and me to make a quick trip downtown. There was a letter from Debby thanking me for the picture of Wendy I sent her - also two little pairs of white ruffled panties Muz made for Wendy. They are so cunning, and I love the little sachet she tucked in with them. For a long time I've been wanting one of those fancy knitting needle cases. I had almost decided to change my mind about the bathing suit, and to buy one with the money order you sent. But, when I looked at them at the yarn shop I got a bright idea, I went to Meaghers and bought some tea rose moiré (a stiff silky material) some stuffing, and a yard of green ribbon [pg 2] to match my knitting bag, all for 73¢. Spent the afternoon sewing, and turned out a case I'm delighted with - really looks professional - and I still have the bathing suit to look forward to. Barbara Corrigan phoned, and stopped by for a chat about one o'clock. She liked our house, and we spent a pleasant hour chatting, drinking coffee and smoking. Both the McKays and [Szathmarys?] have sons! Robert came over to watch Wendy have her bath and supper, and then to listen to ‘[Jam?] Mix’ and ‘Super Man.’ I wish you could have seen the rapt expression on his face while he was listening. Helen told me that they passed two little female dogs being besieged by a pack of males on the way to school this morning and Robert wanted to know why they were playing see saw… I'm mailing along with this an envelope of clippings, and the sections from ‘The Times’. Sure do hope I'll have some [pg 3] letters from you tomorrow - it's awfully discouraging to have an empty mail box all the time. I'm going to hop in the tub now, and then to bed - feel all wore out! My darling - I wish I could come to you with all the love I have- Bobby
