Creator

Mary Stanley

Date

Description

The original description was of 'crewl work', but upon research I found that Crewl is made using heavy yarn and colored where this appears to have been embroidered using French knots, pre made leaves then sewn around the knots. Other leaves are made using a satin stitch and sewn along the flower stem. One long edge and the two short edges are hand crocheted. Opposite long edge is hemmed but not crocheted. One corner has an elaborade embroidered "S"monogram S
