Description

Three Manitowoc Lincoln High School students display knitting needles and some of the knitted items that they have made for the Red Cross in support of the war effort. The Red Cross knitting group was one of many war-related activities conducted at the school during World War II. The girls, all high school juniors, are identified left to right as Marjorie Miley, Clarie Baur, and Patricia Bonar. This small photograph appeared in the 1942 edition of the "Flambeau," the Manitowoc Lincoln High School annual.
