Mary Alice Osburn was born on February 9, 1852 in Speedsville, NY. Married Judge Michael Brown in Big Rapids, Michigan in 1870. Moved to Billings in 1908. Husband died in 1915. Member of the First Congregational Church and DAR. Worked with Red Cross sewing and knitting during World War I. See Aged Billings Matron Succumbs, Billings Gazette, November 3, 1951, p. 8. Mother of Mrs. Carrie Reynolds (died in November, 1942), wife of the Crow Agent, SG Reynolds.
