Knitted mask to completely cover the head in black and white wool with eyes, lips and nostrils outlined in red wool; a red cross in center of forehead. Used for the celebration of Quyllur Rit'i or Star Snow Festival: a spiritual and religious festival held annually at the Sinakara Valley in the Cusco Region of Peru in late May or early June.
