The Battenkill, Greenwich, NY showing Green Mountains in the distance

Creator

Date

Description

A postcard showing a view of the Battenkill River as it enters the town of Greenwich. In the center of the image is the Upper Dam, connected to the Pleasant Vale knitting mill with its distinctive bell tower. The river curves in the front of the image. The trees lining the banks of the river are in full leaf. At the bottom of the postcard, some message has been written by the correspondent. Some of the message is illegible, but it seems to be about the weather which "might snow for a week." It is signed "Mary L. Whitrock."
