Description
Embossed postcard titled "Thanksgiving Greetings" depicting a boy wearing loose-fitting short trousers, stripped knee-high socks, a wide-collar dress shirt and cravat, and a knit brimless cap who is carrying a stick that he appears to be using to herd three turkeys down a road, with a field and trees in the background. Postmarked November 25, 1908, with series number 601 printed on the back, this card was sent from Jake (?) in Washington, D. C., to Mrs. M. K. Wood in Baltimore, Maryland. (Editor's note: Postcards similar to this one, i.e., with a boy with a stick herding turkeys down a road, show the trademark of Paul Finkenrath, Ltd. (PFB) of Barmen, Germany as the publisher, although this card lacks that trademark.)
