Description

A non-regulation oilcloth haversack owned by Lieutenant Colonel William W. Folwell, who served with the 50th New York Infantry Regiment during the Civil War. The haversack has a knit shoulder strap, two large interior compartments, a button-flap pouch on the front, and a large flap lined in red Morocco leather. The haversack may not have been used during the war.
