Description
Baby Doe (Elizabeth Bonduel McCourt Doe Tabor), widow of millionaire miner and U.S. Senator Horace A.W. Tabor, walks out of the shed addition to her cabin, at the Matchless Mine, in Leadville (Lake County), Colorado. She wears a long dress, a long sleeved sweater, and she has on a knitted cap. She is missing many teeth. Boards are stacked near the cabin and a wooden block has firewood stacked on it. A wooden bench is in front of the cabin. Her cabin is vertical board construction and has a corrugated tin roof, windows and a metal stove pipe. Mine buildings are near the cabin.
