Description

Length of cotton cord with 5 bead and feather pendants at each end and 22 feather, bead and deer hoof tips pendants along the length. These pendants are each made of a feather topped with a deer hoof tips. Above that are beads of seed (7), plastic or glass, both faceted and smooth, followed by cylindrical white beads that are possibly spondulus shell. Final bead is glass tube. Dr. Newton says that these were obtained from Salomao a 50 y/o male. They were made by unknown. Used, sold as an incomplete set without the pair of long cords. Cord is square cordage (cross section) made from a single strand (crochet). Cord is 2z cotton, but B possibly 2s cotton. Bead and pendant string is 2z tucum/caroa. Pendants are antique glass beads, white black and dark blue (wood?), glass beads and deer nails/hoofs, and macaw and parrot feathers. Price paid: 5 crn.
