A cream colored, matching flannel lined, sateen, athletic warm up jacket, with a sailor collar, worn by a student of Aurora High School BasketballJunior Varsity(now Central High School( circa 1954. The jacket has a 3-3/4 inch green with a two center 1/2 inch gold horizontal stripes, knit ribbing waistband. The 3 1/4 inch cuffs are made of the same green and gold striped ribbing. The green sateen sailor collar top is trimmed with a green and gold flat braid that extends down the front of the jacket to the first button and button hole. 3 inch white on gold felt letters are sewn to the sailor collar. Two 2 inch green on gold numerals are sewn above left cuff. A light green with gold horizontal striped knit insert is sewn into the arm scythe joining each sleeve to the jacket body. The left front opening has five machined buttonholes and the right side of the front opening has five mismatched khaki and white replacement buttons sewn at heights that correspond to the left side buttonholes. The two front slit pockets are trimmed with green sateen. A manufacturer cloth label is sewn into the right pocket.
