Photograph of Esther and her daughter Jacquelene taken from the exterior side of a window. Jacquelene looks upwards with a serious expression on her face and her mouth slightly open. Esther can be seen sitting in a chair behind her and knitting. A portrait of William Krent, Esther's husband and Jacquelene's father, rests on a table in the background. A service flag hangs in the window to indicate that a family member is serving in the armed forces, this flag is displayed for William who was serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Two stickers are also seen in the window, one reads "I am a Red Cross blood donor are you?" and the other is a cross with the words "1944 war fund."
