Description

Three-faced composition baby doll has a happy face, a crying face, and a sleeping face (Smily, Weepy, and Sleepy). On top of the head is a knob used to swivel the head. The happy face has blue eyes. A knob at the top of the head turns the faces. The smiling face has painted blue googly eyes, brown brows and lashes, and a red mouth. Eyes are closed on the other two faces, but the coloring is the same. A dowel neck is inserted into a cloth-covered circular wooden piece that fits into a cotton-stuffed all-cloth body. All seams of the body are machine stitched except the back seam, which is hand-stitched. The doll wears machine-knit pink chenille pants with covered feet, a sleeveless pink vest that opens in the front, and a white machine-knit sweater with narrow pink trim around the outer edge and sleeves. Neck is bound with white satin ribbon that extends into ties on each side. A knit pink chenille bonnet has a conical tail and fits down over the sides of the face. It is tacked to each side of the sweater and held in place with the sweater ties. The top of the cap has a hole where the doll's swivel knob fits. The knob is covered with a white knit piece that represents a pom-pom on the top of the hat.No inscription.
