Description
Horizontal, color photograph showing Angelique Kidd knitting in front of the Florissant police station while protesting the sentencing of a detective in an unmarked SUV who hit a man. She is wearing a mask and a Black Lives Matter shirt and sitting in a camp chair. Gates close off a street in the background. Comment from photographer John Frey: "On May 25, 2020, the death of George Floyd, an African-American man, occurred in Powderhorn, a neighborhood south of downtown Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States. Since that date that set off many cities with daily protest. Masks and protest signs were the standard. But most wore masks and tried to have social distancing but was impossible. No increase of cases from the protests were reported." Angelique Kidd of Ferguson Missouri, a Michael Brown supporter, sits in front of the Florissant Police station knitting while protesters protest for the sentencing of the detective in an unmarked SUV hitting a man earlier this month. The National Guard sits in the parking lot for support?.. 6.10.2020
