The scrapbook (loose pages) consists of many trade cards about thread. A total of 58 pages. Page 2 contains four cards, all are for Eureka Spool Silk. Page three contains no cards. Page four contains five cards, there is a large one in the upper left corner advertising the tangled thread. Page five has seven cards and the top one has a large pair of open scissors. Page six has one large card with leaves and a large spool of silk dangling. Page seven contains two cards, both are for Star Braid Brand. Page eight has five cards, two are sets, one for Star Embroidery Silk, the other for Brainerd & Armstrong Knitting Silk. Page nine contains nine cards, seven are for Clark's Spool Cotton. Page 10 contains eight cards, six are for Clark's Spool Cotton. Page 11 contains eight cards, with the two cards in the upper left corner the same exact card for J& P Coats. Page 12 contains eight cards, and six of them are for Clark's Spool Cotton. Page 13 contains eight cards, and all of them are advertising Clark's Spool Thread. Page 14 contains eight cards, three of them have astrological signs assigned to each of them. Page 15 has seven cards, one has an elephant on it's hind legs wearing a ribbon. Page 16 has six cards, all of them are advertising Clark's Spool Thread. Page 17 contains two cards, one is a calender for 1883. Page 18 contains three cards, all three are four Clarks Spool Cotton. Page 19 has two cards that look like water coloring. They are for Clark's Spool Cotton. Page 20 contains two cards, one is a handdrawn view of Pike's Peak from Colorado Springs.Companies in the book include: Eureka Spool Silk; Brainerd Armstront & Co.; J & P Coats; Clarks Spool End; Merrick Thread Co.; Corticelli Spool Silk and Willimantic Six Cord Thread.
