A gelatin bromide photographic print on a cabinet card depicting two men, dressed in suits, sitting at a table playing a game of chess. It is likely that only one man, George Aldrich, is actually pictured. The "twin" effect would have been achieved by exposing the plate twice. The room is decorated with framed photographs, plants, and crochet work. Annotation on back of card reads: "The Twins. 'Geo. E. Aldrich.' C.L.H. - 1892. Exposure 1 min." Title from photograph.
